Hallcrest

During the five years that Pfingsten owned the company, Hallcrest was a global developer and manufacturer of thermochromic liquid crystal products and irreversible color change indicators for the medical, industrial and consumer products markets. Products included temperature indicating devices, temperature sensitive inks and coatings, cosmetic ingredients and liquid crystal formulations for research and non-destructive testing. The company sold its products to various OEMs and R&D companies. Hallcrest was headquartered in Glenview, Illinois, and had additional facilities in Illinois, Georgia, and the UK. Pfingsten sold its interest in the business in December 1997.
