Powervar

Under Pfingsten's ownership, Powervar was a global manufacturer and distributor of branded and private label electrical power conditioning equipment for the medical, retail point-of-sale, industrial and other markets. Products included transformer-based power conditioners and uninterruptable power supplies that resolve power quality problems within mission critical electronic equipment. The company sold its products to OEMs. Powervar was headquartered in Waukegan, Illinois, and had additional facilities in the U.K and Mexico.  Pfingsten sold its interest in the business in December 2013.
